Impact CW Annual Community Event
Since our first shopping event in 2015, we have collected, packed and delivered boxes of food and/or local grocery gift cards to our local Camas and Washougal school families in need. In 2025 we hope to be providing food boxes and grocery gift cards for approximately 200 families. Times have been uncertain and a tough time for everyone and the need is even greater this year. This year all of the food and gift cards for the food boxes will be pre-purchased. We need to raise approximately $19,000 to feed these families. You can join us on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at our annual community event to help pack these food boxes. The event will be held at the Parker's Landing Historical Park at the Camas-Washougal Port starting at Noon with a ribbon cutting. Be sure to enjoy the CW Orchestra while you dine at the Free Community BBQ, too, at the event!
If you would like to donate any non-perishable food (especially protein items) at the event, the food will go to local food pantries - mostly Treasure House. They have asked especially for protein items such as peanut butter and chili-type items.
In 2024 we reached our goals and were able to help over 186 families!! Thank you to all that donated or volunteered their time!!!! Thank you to the local CW Community Chest, the Camas-Washougal Rotary, the LCMS Northwest District and others for their generous donations!!!!
